Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award-winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. They continue to set the bar high in their highly regulated market!
In the Senior Quantity Surveyor (HPC) position, you will be working on high value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients which service the defence, nuclear, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.
Responsibilities
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects
* Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
* Managing variations and changes with customers
* Working as part of an experienced commercial team
* Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes.
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
* Construction industry experience in a commercial role
* Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
* Good communication skills with the ability to influence
* An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
* Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
