Electrically biased Engineering Supervisor to manage a team of 3 Maintenance Engineers.
Salary in the region £50,000 - £60,000
Monday - Friday 7:00 - 17:00 (1 week on call in 4)
Qualification & Skills:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
Understanding of PLC programming logic
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
Certified to NVQ level 3 equivalent in leadership or supervision, or managed a team for a minimum of 2 years
Good communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with operations staff, external contractors and suppliers
Computer literate to encompass all current MS Office Applications
Competent to be able to work at height and in confined spaces
Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills
The role
Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and repairs for all electro-mechanical equipment.
Plan, cost and manage all installations.
Maintaining audit records (knowledge of BRC would be preferred).
Ensure Procedure and Maintenance Records are maintained.
Manage on-site contractors
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and safe systems of work for all planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Work with the Operations Team to offer engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements in relation to the continuous improvement of electro- mechanical equipment.
Undertake risk assessments for all electro-mechanical equipment, in liaison with the Engineering Manager and the Health & Safety Consultant.
