Night Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
Plymouth Veterinary Group is a first-opinion multi-site practice with a flagship Hospital and branch surgeries serving all areas of Plymouth.
You will be part of the dedicated night team providing exceptional emergency care for our patients and their owners. The rota consists of 4 nights on with 4 nights off on a rolling basis between the hours of 10.30pm and 7.30am. However, if you are looking for something a bit more flexible, we can offer a mix of days or nights or a part-time role covering nights on a less frequent rotation.
The Vetcall service for Plymouth runs between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.30 am. A team of nurses and Ana's bridge the gap between the day team and Night RVN and give support to worried owners providing dedicated patient care. The Night RVN is the first port of call after 10.30pm and will be available for inpatients as well as triaging incoming calls with the Vet. We are looking for someone with a real passion for emergency work and experience in handling surgeries and critical patients.
We fully encourage CPD and further qualifications and pride ourselves in fostering a learning environment for all staff to be able to reach their full potential.
Why join our team?
The Hospital is open 24/7 365 days per year providing an out-of-hours service for our clients and other feeder practices within the area. The practice is well equipped with Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Laparoscopy, and other diagnostic equipment, enabling most first opinion cases to be treated in-house and accepting exotic referrals.
Plymouth is Britain’s Ocean City and presents excellent opportunities for land and water-based activities as well as a vibrant cultural scene, with good access to the Southwest or Europe. There are not many better cities in which to live and work so if you are looking to relocate, we can offer you full support with this too.
