Role: B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Providing Expert Maintenance Services for a Range of Commercial Aircraft.
Location: Gatwick | Onsite at a Renowned Maintenance Repair Organisation.
Role Type: Contract | 6 Months Initially, Long-Term Commitment | Days Only | Flexible Shift Patterns.
Salary: Up to £77 per Hour (Inside IR35), Competitive Remuneration Package.
Introduction:
We are seeking highly skilled B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our esteemed organisation, delivering Line & Base Maintenance services for commercial aircraft including the B737 NG, B737 Max, B777, and B787. The ideal candidate will hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Licence, with type ratings on B737 NG, B777, and/or B787 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising Mechanics in Performing Base Maintenance Tasks on Customer Aircraft.
* Inspecting and Certifying Scheduled Maintenance Activities, Defect Rectification, Modifications, Structural Repairs, and Functional Tests on Airframe, Engine, and Electrical Systems.
* Ensuring Timely Completion of Assigned Work to Minimise Aircraft Downtime.
* Maintaining Accurate Records of Aircraft Technical Logbooks, Maintenance Documentation, Job Cards, Work Packages, and Zonal Handovers.
* Ensuring High Standards of Cleanliness and Organisation within Assigned Work Areas.
* Adhering to Regulatory Requirements, Company Processes, and Procedures.
* Fostering a Culture of Safety and Reporting Incidents and Occurrences through the Boeing Safety Management System.
* Highlighting Technical Issues, Discrepancies, or Concerns to the Aircraft Check Manager.
* Contribution to Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Lean Principles.
* Assisting the Management Team in Day-to-Day Operations at London Gatwick.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Valid UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Licence.
* Type Rating on One or More of the Following Aircraft: B737 NG, B777, or B787.
* Minimum 1 Year of Certification Privileges in a Line or Base Maintenance Environment.
* Demonstrated Recent Experience on Type and Ability to Maintain Appropriate Company Authorisations.
* Thorough Understanding of Part-145 Regulations.
* Previous Experience Using AMOS or Other Maintenance Management Systems.
* Strong Communication Skills and Effective Problem-Solving Abilities.
* Flexibility to Adjust Working Hours to Meet Operational Demands.
* Team-Oriented Mindset with a Commitment to Exceeding Customer Expectations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Willingness to Learn In-House Systems.
