We are now seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Bicester office. You will have the ability to manage multiple medium-sized projects, undertake a client-facing role in developing, designing, and coordinating engineering projects, and produce design packages for contractors working on design and build contracts.
Role Responsibilities
Manage medium-sized projects, including client-facing development, design, and coordination of engineering project services for mechanical installations, systems, and equipment.
Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.
Conduct surveys, tests, and reports on existing electrical installations.
Specify activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements.
Make day-to-day project progress decisions and liaise directly with clients.
Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractor teams.
Perform engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet industry and legal standards.
Validate and check the technical content and accuracy of work by trainees, graduates, and engineers.
Role Requirements
BEng, MSc, or sufficient experience.
MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND with appropriate experience or equivalent.
Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
Competent in specification design/drawing for various building types.
Knowledge of Health and Safety issues and legislation.
Proficient in MS Office applications and IT-based calculation software.
Understanding of BS standards.
Strong prioritization, deadline management, and managerial skills.
Consulting or construction background preferred.
Familiarity with international operations of a global consultancy.
Ethical and committed to principles in the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.
