Our client is searching for an experienced paralegal to join its busy team. Responsibilities: Client Support: Meet with clients to gather information about their wills or probate needs and provide updates on their cases. Drafting Documents: Prepare legal documents like wills, powers of attorney, probate applications, and inheritance tax forms. Estate Administration: Help identify and value assets, settle debts and taxes, and distribute assets to beneficiaries. Court Filings: Submit probate applications and other required documents to the court or probate registry. Legal Notices: Draft and publish legal notices required for estate administration. File Management: Organise and maintain case files, keeping them accurate and up-to-date. Communication: Work with clients, beneficiaries, executors, and other professionals (e.g., accountants, financial advisors). Deadlines: Keep track of key dates and ensure all actions are completed on time. Research: Look into legal issues related to wills, probate, and inheritance as needed. Administrative Support: Help with billing, client scheduling, and general office tasks. Essential: Commercially minded and committed to delivering a high-quality service. Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively. Desirable: Experience in wills and probate.
