What's the role?
The I&C Project Co-ordinator role involves being responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of timely Gas connections, by ensuring delivery of client services via field service personnel. This role is crucial as it ensures a commercial income to SMS, whilst at the same time strengthening our relationships with both existing and new gas suppliers. The Gas Connection teams also ensure additional recurring rental for installed gas assets whilst also growing our existing data management portfolio.
This role is offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract. The working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days at home) is available.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities of this include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Co-ordinating the delivery of timely Gas connections, by ensuring delivery of client services via field service personnel.
* Ensuring that contractors have planned, executed and provided closure information for works in a given region.
* Liaising with both customers and contractors on a frequent basis.
* Supporting the contractors and making decisions as required to ensure that each job is completed successfully and meets Customer requirements.
* Answering and resolving customer enquiries and demonstrating ownership of the issue by using problem solving skills.
* Proactively reviewing customer accounts when they call, to identify and resolve any future issues before they arise.
* Taking the opportunity to promote and sell relevant products/service to each customer as appropriate.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have/be:
* Experience of developing growing a book of clients.
* Relationship management experience.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Relevant experience working in a customer service team environment.
* Relevant working experience in a customer facing role where keyboard skills have been utilised daily.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, excellent keyboard skills, excellent data entry input.
* Excellent communication skills for listening to and understanding customers’ requirements, and giving explanations.
* Ability to work fast and accurately in what is often a very busy environment.
