About the role
This is a full time, 15 month maximum term contract, location flexible. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring of client personal funds and Household Contributions in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements. You will also provide a range of project and administrative supports in implementing Card Hero (a prepaid Debit system) into our Supported Independent Living Homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor house and client expenditure and charging ensuring that the Client Funds Program is underpinned by the principles of accountability and transparency.
* Provide comprehensive information to clients and their administrators about the monitoring of client funds and Household Contributions.
* Provide advice and assistance to Operations Managers, House Supervisors and DDSO’s in relation to the monitoring of client funds and Household Contributions.
* Provide training and coaching to relevant staff on the use of the LWB National Client Funds Program (NCFP), policies and processes to enable effective administration of the client funds program.
* Establish, develop, implement and continually review and revise relevant systems and processes.
* Maintain NCFP records in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
* Undertake regular NCFP audits.
* Maintain oversight of processes to prepare budgets for clients.
* Provide project and administration support for CardHero.
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Administration / Business studies or equivalent training and/or experience.
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role and or experience in financial reconciliations.
* Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
* Demonstrated understanding of financial risk relative to the management of funds.
* The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.
* Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills with an ability to think laterally and use initiative.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically Excel.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
