Call-Out: Facilitators wanted for new initiative, DVSS (Paid opportunity)
Published - Thu, 30 Jan 2025
Job Summary
We're announcing an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Diverse Voices on our latest initiative, DVSS (Diverse Voices of Screen & Stage), a 24-week programme for 10-16 year olds who are passionate about theatre and filmmaking.
Job Description
The programme will allow participants to gain access to tools, mentorship, and opportunities to explore creative careers in the film and theatre industries, culminating in a professionally produced, youth-led film that addresses topics the young people themselves feel are most relevant to their lives.
We'd love to invite creative facilitators to play a key role in bringing this vision to life. We're seeking talented creatives who are interested in paid roles to facilitate individual classes over the 24-week programme around their expertise in areas such as:
1. Acting, directing, or writing
2. Cinematography, sound design, editing
3. Costume, set design, hair and make up
4. Pastoral support
This is a unique opportunity to share your craft and shape this exciting new project. Each role is a paid role.
If you're interested in joining us, please let us know your availability and area of expertise in the Google form below.
NEXT STEPS
Successful applicants will hear back from the DVSS team after your indication of interest. Chosen facilitators will be asked to attend a day to share their plans and methods with the DVSS team. Successful facilitators will then attend safeguarding training with the team before the start of the programme.
Please apply as soon as you can; conversations will start happening over the next weeks, and we are aiming to kick off the programme in March 2025.
