Electromechanical Field Service Engineer
This is a Field Based Role to cover a customer base in the South West. Initially there will be a strong bias towards Healthcare, specifically servicing, repair and installation of ultrasound equipment, with the potential of additionally working on Ophthalmology and Robotics equipment and other disciplines as and when required and trained.
Role Objective:
To carry out the installation, servicing, moves & changes, upgrade, modification, and repair of Medical, Ophthalmic and Robotic equipment as required. The role holder will also be trained and expected to carry out similar tasks on other relevant equipment which may fall outside of the initial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out the installation, servicing, moves & changes, upgrade, modification, and repair requirements of the company customer base as requested.
* Apply a professional, reactive, and proactive service to our customers.
* Problem-solve in a responsible and methodical manner, whilst ensuring total customer satisfaction.
* Maintain effective communications with Area Managers/Team Leaders and other staff as required.
* Be flexible to work within other regions of the UK with given notice as required.
* Attend sites within city locations which may involve using public transport from time to time.
* Attend and pass any necessary product or skills training programmes.
* Follow call closure procedures.
* Complete all necessary paperwork and company system updates correctly and return within correct timescales.
* Effectively maintain vehicle stock inventory.
* Manage customer returns and disposal of returned capital equipment and parts in a compliant and timely manner to ISO and WEEE procedures.
* Ensure safe working practices under the Health & Safety Acts.
* Act in the best interests of the business and our customers/partners.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Previous engineering experience in a related environment is beneficial.
* Good core engineering skills and knowledge.
* Electrical/Electronic/Software Engineering experience.
* Ability to work as part of a team or alone.
* Smart appearance.
* Organised and punctual.
* Good telephone manner.
* Reactive to customer needs.
