UK Cyber Security Team Manager
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a UK Cyber Security Team Manager to be based out of our Stanford le Hope Port. This position will support the UK Cyber Security Team to keep the DP World UK Terminals IT Infrastructure & Systems safe from cyber-attacks.
This role is to manage the Cyber defences of DP World UK’s Container Terminals. This includes keeping up to date with Cyber threats and ensuring that the business is adequately protected from an Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Networking perspective. A requirement of the role is to be on site physically at the business sites regularly.
Location: Stanford le Hope, with monthly travel to Southampton
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
How you will contribute
This role oversees cyber security across DP World UK terminals – Southampton and London Gateway, ensuring robust protection, compliance, and efficiency in IT security operations. You will be responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.
Security Policy & Compliance
1. Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s IT security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
2. Ensure compliance with the NIS-D Directive and work towards ISO27001 certification.
3. Keep up to date with emerging security trends, risks, regulations, and technologies.
Cyber Defence & Infrastructure
1. Manage and maintain cyber defences, ensuring protection mechanisms (firewalls, antivirus, malware protection, SSL certificates, etc.) are up to date.
2. Monitor and respond to security threats, including brute force attacks, phishing, and vulnerabilities identified in penetration tests.
3. Work with the Infrastructure and Network teams to design and maintain secure, high-performance, and redundant IT systems.
4. Standardise IT security solutions across all DP World UK terminals.
Leadership & Management
1. Lead and manage a team of cyber professionals, ensuring timely task execution and adequate support.
2. Talent and performance management of team.
3. Define and track Cyber KPIs to measure effectiveness.
4. Prepare and manage cyber security budgets.
5. Organize regular internal and external penetration tests, ensuring vulnerabilities are addressed based on priority.
6. Manage third-party suppliers and service-level agreements to maximize security and performance.
7. Contribute to business improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate security direction.
8. Develop and implement a security awareness and training program for employees.
9. Promote a culture of cyber security within the organization.
Reporting & Documentation
1. Prepare monthly reports on cyber security solutions and performance.
2. Maintain detailed records of security incidents, resolutions, and improvements.
Health, Safety & Company Representation
1. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and report any incidents.
2. Act as an ambassador for DP World UK, representing the company internally and externally in security-related matters.
What you will bring
* Considerable and demonstrable experience of managing teams.
* Extensive knowledge and hands on managing Cyber defenses including AV/Malware systems, corporate and internal firewalls, SIEM systems.
* Experience in automated environment.
* Change management, Project management, ITIL.
* Experience managing Cyber strategy and planning.
* Experience managing a Cyber budget, asset management, procurement and license management.
* Ability to delegate and manage workloads according to deadlines in an agile, fast-changing environment.
