As a Registered Nurse at this prestigious award-winning Private Hospital, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team. Your role will involve clinical triage, evaluating patient care, conducting nurse-led clinics, performing examinations and tests, organizing treatments, and making referrals to other healthcare professionals.
Nurse - DSU Essentials
1. Identify personal objectives, reflect on progress and set a personal development plan annually in order to develop within post.
2. Liaise with Lead nurse in agreeing how identified training and development needs are met.
3. Ensure that own practice is kept updated using an appropriate model of clinical supervision.
4. Take every opportunity to expand own practice in line with the principles contained within the Nursing and Midwifery Council guidelines and protocols.
5. Ensure that all elements contained within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct are adhered to, including ensuring maintenance of anaesthetic registration requirements if appropriate.
6. Develop clinical knowledge and professional skills through relevant training.
7. Experience in a similar role (Desired).
8. Demonstrable record of CPD (Desired).
9. Knowledge of standards of professional practice in the wider healthcare context (Desired).
10. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT systems (Desired).

Nurse - DSU Responsibilities
1. Providing highest standards of nursing care in various care settings.
2. Preparing clinic rooms for procedures, including sterilizing instruments and equipment, and minimizing waste.
3. Timely and accurate completion of the Patient Record.
4. Mentoring students, learners, junior nurses, and Health Care Assistants and documenting their progress.
5. Participating in teaching within their knowledge and skill domain.
6. Organizing and prioritizing duties delegated by the Lead Nurse or unit nursing lead.
7. Maintaining effective communication channels at all times.
8. Acting as a specialist/link person after relevant training in their area of expertise.
9. Developing patient pathways to ensure physical and psychological preparedness for necessary procedures.
10. Providing patients with documented information for planned procedures.
11. Obtaining patient consent for specific procedures after appropriate online training.
12. Delivering patient care based on recognized research and evidence-based best clinical practices.
13. Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required.
14. Applying a holistic patient-centered care approach, considering the unique clinical needs of each patient.
15. Working within flexible rosters to efficiently meet patient needs.
