FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER – INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY
Location: Heywood, Manchester
Basic Starting Salary: £35,000 per annum with excellent benefits

Our client started out 40 years ago and has grown to be the European market leader in their field of industrial vacuum technology and materials handling equipment. They are looking for Service Engineers to join their team to service and maintain three-phase electrical industrial material handling equipment for their commercial, industrial, public sector, and blue-chip customers as well as their own large hire fleet.
The role will be based out of the Heywood depot and would suit someone with a background in industrial motors and associated switchgear, but other roles would be considered, including mechanical roles who wish to upskill. It will also include travel to sites across the UK. Four nights per month will be working away from home, and the rest will be workshop-based with occasional day-based travel, returning home that day.

Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:
1. Servicing systems utilizing your knowledge of systems and equipment.
2. Delivering a high-class customer experience by providing a high standard of customer service, including problem-solving while building customer relationships.
3. Preparation of service work utilizing organizational skills.
4. Correctly completing Engineer work reports and handover certificates.
5. Traveling to sites across the UK.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Be reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated with the ability to work alone as well as in a team.
2. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
3. Work closely with the planning team, ensuring your time is managed efficiently and jobs are prioritized correctly.
4. Hold a full UK driving license.
5. Genuine interest in Engineering, with experience or qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
6. Experience in servicing and/or installation of industrial machinery is required.
