Business Development Representative – UK Market

My client, a leader in advanced detection technology, is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive growth in the UK market. This role will focus on expanding the reach of their detection solutions portfolio, working with cutting-edge technologies to support safe and efficient operations across various sectors.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead business development activities for detection technologies, including cable locators and ground-penetrating radars (GPRs). Your focus will be on identifying new sales opportunities, engaging both new and existing customers, and developing strategic relationships. You will manage the entire sales cycle—from lead generation through to implementation—while working alongside technical specialists to effectively demonstrate solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to revenue forecasting, manage sales activity in CRM systems, and represent the company at industry events and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Promote detection products and services to meet client objectives within the UK market
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing deals
- Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to support growth strategies
- Attend industry events to increase brand visibility and stay informed of market trends
- Provide revenue forecasting data and manage sales pipeline within CRM systems
- Support product development by sharing market insights with relevant teams
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in the detection sector, with a strong understanding of applicable technologies and market workflows. Proven experience managing a sales pipeline, excellent communication skills, and an entrepreneurial approach are essential. Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office are advantageous. This role requires regular travel across the UK, with some international travel as needed.
