My client is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their well established office in Oxted, Surrey.
You will be providing assistance to the Fee Earners on a mixed caseload of property files including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, shared equity/shared ownership, new homes and part exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaising with clients face to face and assisting via telephone and email.
* Make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up to date diary for the fee earners.
* Dealing with post completion tasks including submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns online and Land Registry Registrations/dealing with requisitions.
* Dealing with ID/AML procedures and requirements.
* Drafting contract packs and client care letters.
* Ordering property searches.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a conveyancing department. Candidates will not be considered if they do not have relevant experience.
* Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills.
* Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems.
What they offer:
* Full time in the office - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
* Salary depending on experience - £24,000 - £28,000.
