Production Planning Manager

Monday to Thursday 8-4.30pm and Friday 8-4pm (office hours) some flexibility
Salary is £40-45k depending on experience
You will be required to set and be responsible for meeting departmental KPI's and production output targets in collaboration with Productions Managers/Team Leaders and commercial staff.
You will be apart of the Production and Planning Department, reporting to the Operations Director and responsible for supervising the Production Assistant. Effective communication across the business is key, from shop floor to the senior management team, with close relations to customers and subcontractors.
To create, manage and maintain the production scheduling process to ensure customer requirements are met whilst driving to meet budgeted output. You will be responsible for progress chasing inventory internally manufactured and to support subcontracted items.
Responsibilities of the Production Planning Manager:
Adhere to HSE policy
Chairing & providing relevant data for the following internal meetings:
Mon-Fri SQCDP morning management meeting
Mon, Wed, Fri Sales Meeting
Tue -Planning Meeting
Produce and update monthly plans of all open orders
Issue priority lists to all departments
Upkeep and maintain ERP system INFOR - Training given
Liaison with customers if needed
Schedules for key customer accounts
Monthly reports to Senior Leadership Team
KPI reporting and attendance at monthly meetings
Including weekly updates
Training employees in all aspects of production planning
To meet daily requirements as required
Requirements of the Production Planning Manager:
Proven experience as a Production Planning Manager or similar role within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and supply chain management.
Experience using ERP system for production planning and inventory control.
Experience in sales forecasting and budget management, ensuring production aligns with financial targets.
Proven ability to improve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance, ensuring timely and complete delivery of products to customers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
