Junior Clinical Fellow - General/Acute Medicine
An exciting opportunity has arisen for several Junior Clinical Fellows to join the Medical Services Directorate at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job
The posts will mainly be based within the Medical Directorate, with opportunities to work across various specialties including Cardiology, Stroke Medicine, Elderly Medicine, Acute Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Emergency Medicine.
You will be assigned a clinical supervisor and encouraged to maintain a portfolio of your experience, participate in departmental educational activities, and attend outpatient clinics whenever possible.

Job responsibilities
* Manage admissions, clerking, and daily care of patients on the General Medical wards.
* Participate in the on-call rota.
* Engage in audits and research projects available through consultants.
* Attend postgraduate educational activities, including lectures, radiology, pathology, and medical presentations.
* Teach Foundation Doctors and medical students at the bedside.
* Attend practical procedure training sessions.
* Contribute to quality improvement projects.
* Maintain good working relationships with hospital staff.
* Respond to emergencies and unforeseen circumstances as directed by a consultant, collaborating with colleagues of all levels.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent
* Studying towards Part 1 of MRCP
Experience
* Completed Foundation Year 1 in the UK or equivalent
* Completed Foundation Year 2 in the UK or equivalent
* At least 1 year of NHS experience
* Experience at IM/CT/ST 1 level in the UK or equivalent
