Maintenance Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to help our busy Sea Scout division with our building and site maintenance.
We are looking for someone who is organised and local to Lymington.
Responsibilities include keeping a general eye on the building to spot any maintenance issues, carrying out any minor repairs and maintenance work, identifying areas where future work will be required. Organising quotes for work and showing tradespersons what needs to be done. Booking in jobs and being on site to let people in when needed.
The building is generally in good repair so this is not an overly demanding role. It would suit perhaps someone who has retired from a career in a construction / trade industry or someone who works flexible hours and is a keen DIY-er in the Lymington area.
Our former maintenance manager was also a charity Trustee, and if you would be prepared to take on that role too, that would be great - but it is not conditional upon this.
Once a year there is a maintenance weekend where parents and volunteers all help to tackle minor maintenance jobs, which you would be expected to oversee. You can schedule this event whenever is convenient for you.
An enhanced DBS check will be needed which we will organise.
