Contents Location About the job Benefits Things you need to know Apply and further information Location MOD Lyneham About the job Job summary Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) is a tri-Service organisation delivering technical and management training to Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force personnel in the domains of Marine, Electro-Mechanical, Communications & Information Systems and Aeronautical Engineering. The DCTT schools are geographically distributed at sites in Blandford Forum, Cosford, Digby, and Lyneham, with the Headquarters (HQ) principally based at MOD Lyneham. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description To identify opportunities for and deliver Business Intelligence (BI) and Performance Management (PM) across the DCTT. The purpose of the team is to gather, manage and exploit data from the across the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) in order to drive evidenced based decision making. Furthermore, the team identifies broader opportunities for improvement, harmonisation and implementation of best practice and bench marking across the DCTT. 1. Design and deliver reports for senior executive meetings and in response to data related information requests. 2. Monitor and report to HQ on DCTTs assurance outcomes from collation of data from audit activities undertaken at school level. Ensure co-ordinated corrective actions are taken in timely manner. 3. Act as lead for responding to BI related information requests. 4. Provide analysis, options and decision support to HQ DCTT, to improve factual situational awareness in all monitored areas across the DCTT, identifying areas of good practice and improvement. 5. Oversee the development, maintenance and quality control of the DCTT metrics hierarchy and supporting data. 6. Work with HQ Training Management Group to develop relationships and support the CEB process, growing the data analysis that underpins the SOTT/SOTR process. 7. Provide line management, mentoring and professional development to PM&BI data analyst.
