About the Role
Join a leading player in the Rail, Power, Tunnelling, Fire, and Facilities sectors as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager for the Midlands Region. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of collaboration and safety, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the implementation of the Safe, Sustainable, and Wellbeing (SSW) Strategy.
* Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and standards.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and training to maintain high safety and environmental performance.
* Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop and embed health, safety, and environmental best practices.
* Support project mobilisation through the creation of key documentation, training, and KPI establishment.
* Lead investigations into incidents and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
* NEBOSH Diploma/NCRQ Diploma (essential).
* Significant experience in health, safety, and environmental management within construction or infrastructure sectors (e.g., rail, tunnelling, energy).
* Proven expertise in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and CDM regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Flexibility to travel across project sites in the Northern Region, including occasional night/weekend work.
