Overview Technical Manager | Up to £70,000 base salary | Annual Bonus | Chichester We are currently looking for Technical Manager at our factory in Chichester, West Sussex. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the technical operations and business strategies within the food manufacturing environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to ensure the efficient production of high-quality food products, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with the company's strategic goals. What you get from us Salary of £65,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience) Annual bonus Employer matched pension up to 5% Health cash plan Flexible benefits including; Corporate gym discounts, shopping discounts, enhanced maternity & paternity policy and many more Access to online GP & life assurance Key responsibilities Oversee daily technical operations, maintain equipment, and optimize processes to improve efficiency and quality Develop and enforce quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety standards (BRC, HACCP, GMP) through regular audits Lead technical projects for product development, process improvement, and equipment upgrades, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and budgets Collaborate with senior management on strategies for growth, innovation, and operational efficiency, while supporting budgeting and financial planning Mentor and develop technical staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement Manage supplier and vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and align operations with business needs You will have Extensive experience in a technical management role within the food manufacturing industry Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and technologies Excellent knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory requirements Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in food manufacturing Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, standards, and regulations Proficiency in project management software and quality management tools About us Nature’s Way Foods is the leading manufacturer of prepared salads, coleslaw and “food-to-go” for supermarkets and retailers, and as such we work closely with farmers across Europe.
