Senior Quantity Surveyor - ESD
Location: Stepps
Working as part of our ESD water framework, Galliford Try is now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team to be based out of Stepps.
What you will be doing:
1. Work on our Scottish Water Frameworks within our ESD Joint Venture, delivering schemes to the Water Industry.
2. Drive the commercial performance of the Operating Unit, ensuring budgeted financial goals are achieved.
3. Instill robust risk management principles across the commercial team.
4. Oversee material and subcontract procurement, ensuring governance is applied.
5. Report accurately on monthly CVR's and commercial reports to required deadlines.
6. Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
7. Participate in weekly progress and risk reduction meetings and manage monthly applications to the Client.
8. Ensure a safe working environment and promote a culture of health and safety.
About You:
Alongside your relevant degree and/or experience in a relevant commercial environment, you should have:
* Experience working on large single or multiple smaller schemes with solid knowledge of construction processes.
* Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS is desirable.
* Strong IT skills including Excel, Word & Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Asite, Oracle).
* Excellent communication skills to influence and build collaborative relationships.
* Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, particularly the NEC3/4 suite.
