DevOps Engineer£65kHybrid working – Staffordshire (commutable from Wolverhampton, Tamworth, Cannock Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, Derby and Eastern parts of Birmingham).We cannot offer sponsorship and due to the nature of the work candidates need to be UK Nationals or have ILR.We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our clients deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation across all environments (Development, Test, Staging, and Production). You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable deployment processes and environments. This is a hands-on, autonomous role that will suit someone who thrives in a high-trust environment and is excited by the opportunity to lay the foundations of a DevOps culture.Key activities include Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines across all environments (Dev, Test, Staging, Prod) Build cloud infrastructure from the ground up using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles Maintain and optimise deployment workflows and automation across microservices and containerised environments Collaborate with developers to improve release processes and reduce deployment friction Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure visibility and operational readiness Manage infrastructure security, access controls, and compliance requirements in partnership with InfoSec Champion DevOps best practices and help evolve a DevOps-first culture across the engineering organisation We ideally need to see the following skills and experience 4 years’ experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS & EKS a must have) Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.) Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, SAM, CloudFormation) Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) Strong understanding of networking, security, and DevSecOps practices Comfortable working independently and building infrastructure and pipelines from scratch Salary and Benefits Circa £65k salary Generous pension contribution 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Private healthcare Wellness support Generous training budget Please apply with a CV
