Contract – Permanent Full Time
Hours – 37hrs hours per week – 08:30-16:30 (Term Time Only plus 5 days)
Salary – £40,120 per annum

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who is passionate about helping young people to learn and achieve, and who can help them be ready to take their next steps.
We need someone who is compassionate in their approach, and who can work with young people who may have had multiple barriers to education in the past. We want someone who is flexible and can lead a team and come together in all circumstances to put our students first.
This role will cover the following curriculum areas: Art and Design, Hospitality and Construction and whilst experience in delivering these areas are not essential, we are especially interested in candidates with experience in hospitality or construction.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Lead and performance manage a professional team of staff to deliver the aims of the Nacro Education, Key Performance Indicators, and to ensure educational outcomes and progression of all students is at the centre of delivery.
• Develop and provide an exceptional student experience and empower and motivate students to identify and achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead the development of appropriate learning resources, facilities, and environment to support high quality teaching and learning, prepare students for the world of work/further study, and lead good practice in curriculum area.
• Own and set direction for a team/direct reports to deliver the organisational and local priorities.
• Take responsibility for the communication of organisational and local messages through regular and effective team meetings.
• Maintain up to date records via relevant and appropriate systems within specified timeframes and produce reports as required.
Essential Requirements
· Must have some managerial experience - deputy / course / curriculum level.
· Must have been a teacher.
· Ideally have Construction or Hospitality experience but welcome applicants from other industries
Qualifications
· English & Maths GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent
· Level 3 AET or equivalent / higher
· Must follow internal development programme for teachers through to Level 5 DIT
· Must follow internal development programme for managers through to Level 3 Coaching and mentoring
