We are looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team working within a highly regarded SEND provision in the central Warrington area. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs. Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum materials to meet each child's unique needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported. Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, promoting their social and emotional well-being. Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development. Document and track student progress, communicating with teachers and parents as needed. Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. A genuine passion for working with children with special needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability are essential qualities. Knowledge of various special educational needs (SEN) and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs is a plus.
