Working in a dynamic environment, reporting into Asset Protection, you will partner with the store management team to ensure product loss is minimized and Asset Protection awareness is on the minds of everyone. Your expertise in safety and investigation contributes to the bottom line, mitigates loss, and increases profitability.

As an Asset Protection Representative, you will:
1. Deter, detect, and apprehend for theft and fraud within retail locations; compile and present evidence for the purpose of court or arbitration.
2. Collaborate with other APRs to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases when they arise.
3. Collaborate with the local police service regularly.
4. Detect and identify potential shrink opportunities within operational core compliance.
5. Build and maintain partnerships with Associate-Owners and their team(s) by communicating and providing training on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
6. Assist Associate-Owners and their team(s) with incident de-escalation.
7. Participate in Community Events.
8. Be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, overnights, and weekends (40 hours per week).
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
1. Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
2. Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, Powers of Arrest, and CCTV and/or surveillance systems; have a working knowledge of Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
3. Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
4. A high degree of initiative and integrity required to be successful in a dynamic environment.
5. Strong collaborative skills and a willingness to support Associate-Owners.
6. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
