About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor with a dance specialty, you will: Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, delivering pre-set lesson plans across various subjects. Bring your expertise in dance to inspire students and lead engaging lessons when required. Foster a positive and focused learning environment for students. This role offers a mix of general classroom supervision and the opportunity to share your passion for dance with students. What We’re Looking For: Experience teaching or coaching Dance in educational or community settings. Confidence in managing groups of children and maintaining classroom discipline. Strong communication and organisational skills. Adaptability to work across a range of subjects and school environments. Requirements To be considered for the role of Secondary Cover Supervisor you will: Have previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or similar role. Be confident managing classrooms and engaging with students aged 11–16. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments. Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship) Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Have previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or similar role.
