Job overview
This is a fixed term post for one year, with two/three posts running concurrently and working together. The post will provide extensive experience in the outpatient and inpatient diagnosis and management of pleural disease including medical thoracoscopy, IPC insertion and management, advanced ultrasound skills and image guided pleural biopsy. The post holder will also support the running of pleural and mesothelioma multidisciplinary team meetings.
Main duties of the job
The post holder’s principal duties are based in:
·Pleural Clinics – located in both the Respiratory Medicine outpatient clinic and in the Radiology Department, both at the Churchill Hospital site
·The Respiratory Intervention Unit, located at the John Radcliffe Hospital where the interventional and diagnostic lists occur and the inpatient ward is based.
