Are you an ambitious journalist looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, multi-platform business media environment where no two days are the same.
Working closely with the editor as part of a small, hands-on team, you’ll contribute to everything from writing compelling business stories to helping plan and deliver high-profile events. As content editor, you’ll also have the chance to develop your on-screen presenting skills and grow into a key public-facing role.
Insider runs a busy calendar of business networking events across the North West, and our editors play a central role in shaping them from selecting speakers and judging awards to leading on-stage interviews. You’ll initially shadow the editor and deputy editor, gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence and experience grow.
We’re looking for a confident communicator who’s comfortable picking up the phone, walking into boardrooms, and building relationships with senior business leaders.
You’ll be equipped with a laptop, phone and video kit, and supported with one-to-one training and mentoring to help you thrive.
An NCTJ qualification (or equivalent) is preferred, but not essential; above all, we’re looking for enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

From writing in-depth features and chairing thought-provoking round tables, to attending prestigious awards dinners and collaborating with our sales and events teams, you'll be at the heart of our dynamic, fast-paced newsroom and business community.
