Artwork Department Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Artwork Department Manager to join our creative POS team. As the Artwork Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the artistic direction, production, and management of all artworks created within the department. This role requires excellent artistic and leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of design principles and project management.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the artwork department, ensuring high-quality and visually appealing designs that align with our brand guidelines and client expectations.
2. Collaborate closely with clients, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, brand identity, and target audience.
3. Set creative direction for each project, providing guidance and feedback to the team to ensure that designs effectively communicate the desired message.
4. Manage the entire artwork process, from concept development to final production, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and new software/tools, and implement them to enhance the artwork department's capabilities.
6. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and freelancers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective production of outsourced artwork projects.
7. Develop and enforce artwork-related processes and standards to optimise efficiency and consistency within the department.
8. Mentor and guide the artwork team, providing ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in artwork development, with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role.
3. Have an appropriate level of competence with MacOS, Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Microsoft Office.
4. Strong artistic abilities, with a keen eye for detail, composition, color theory, and typography.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate ideas with diverse stakeholders.
7. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
8. A portfolio showcasing your previous artwork designs and projects.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm
