Location : Home based role, ideally located in the Midlands or North West region. Our Head of Sustain is a newly created role in our business, reporting into one of our Executive Director’s, you will play a key role in implementing Novus’ client’s Decarbonisation strategy, by shaping, planning and delivering strategies that enhance an organisation's retrofit performance. You won’t need to start from scratch, we are extremely proud of the work we are currently doing in this space and already have an established work stream, and localised team’s set up on a national basis delivering a turnover of around £30m. Your role will be the enabler to further supporting our clients by streamline and broadening our retrofit and Decarbonisation offering You will contribute to our client business development by planning, researching, and assisting in retrofit bid submissions, to win and attract ECO, Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund and other funding sources from central and local government as appropriate to our client strategy and requirements. An outline of your responsibilities as a Head of Sustain Play a key role in leading the strategic delivery, development, implementation and review of the Novus ‘Sustain’ business strategy. Lead on opportunities for identifying and securing investment through funding streams and opportunities Work closely with the Work Winning Department and other team members to prepare bids, including the Social Housing Decarbonisation Funding and ECO funding. Oversee the energy efficiency modelling system and other specialist stock data to support bids and work with commercial team colleagues to ensure pricing and procurement issues are understood and covered in the bids. Lead on building a robust understanding of our client’s housing stock, and ensure accurate specialist relevant data, through stock assessment, to enable high quality investment modelling and inform strategic decisions and priorities under decarbonisation programmes. Development of retrofit strategies from individual properties to whole property portfolios. Lead on the design and technical review of proposals for decarbonisation schemes to ensure that they are line with strategic objectives, are PAS 2035/38 compliant, and work with the local Project Manager(s) delivering individual projects, to oversee the retrofit process. Remain up to date with legislation changes/revies around retrofit and net zero (including DESNZ guidance documents) and update the business as necessary to ensure Novus remains complaint in all areas of decarbonisation. Act as a retrofit advisor for the business, develop webinars/training guides as necessary to support operational business functions for the success of retrofit projects. Understand and develop the Novus Technology Platform for retrofit to ensure our IT solution for data capture complies with guidance and regulations to achieve overall project sign-off to enable client’s to draw down their funding effectively. About You As an experienced Head of Sustain, you will have previously worked in a Retrofit role, ideally at a senior strategic level, with knowledge and understanding of PAS2030 and 2035, have a qualification or being a subject matter expert will be the key to your success. You will have excellent communication skills and a personable manner, enabling you to develop and grow your workstream by fostering strong client, and new business relationships across the sector. Coupled with a strong drive towards improving organisational performance through the development of targeted growth strategies. You will quickly become the expert in our business to support the growth strategies in this space. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence.
