Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a B6 Research nurse to join our surgical research delivery team. This role will offer an exciting opportunity to be based within the division, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support, develop and deliver research projects across surgical departments within the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to work in a clinical research environment and contribute to improving patient care for the future.
Ideally we are looking for a nurse/practitioner with either research or surgical experience.
The post holder will be organised, have a flexible approach to work and be motivated to provide excellent clinical care with exceptional communication and organisational skills.
Main duties of the job
The role of the research nurse at The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RSCH) will be to support the set up and delivery of research. The role will involve screening patients and monitoring patients during studies, assisting with clinical investigations and the collection and documentation of accurate data. The research FFnurse will work collaboratively with all teams to provide excellent care for patients undergoing cancer treatments.

1. NMC Level One Registration
2. Graduate level qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience at similar level in relevant field.
Knowledge

3. Significant clinical/research experience
4. Experience of multidisciplinary working and collaborating with other agencies
5. Management of resources
6. Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development
7. Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team, as well as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
8. Knowledge and experience of handling complex relationships
