As a member of the team in this enhanced role, support and work closely with registered practitioners to deliver a high standard of care to patients, families, and their carers in a safe and supportive environment without the need for direct supervision. Work as part of the wider team in developing and maintaining services provided to patients and contribute to the safe, efficient, and smooth running of the ward/clinical area or department while maintaining the dignity and privacy of all patients and respecting their right to confidentiality. Complete and maintain on an ongoing basis a generic and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or Care Certificate as required. Be motivated to review progress with the Manager at regular intervals through the appraisal process.
Main Duties of the Job
Do you have experience working with children and young people? Do you have a childcare qualification (NVQ level 3) or other healthcare experience? If so, we could have the perfect job for you.
This role will involve caring for children and teenagers with the support of a registered nurse and being responsible for some housekeeping duties. Training will be given to successful applicants who will be required to complete a set of competencies enabling them to undertake specific additional nursing care duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
You will be working alongside a registered nurse in caring for children and teenagers on our medical ward. As well as caring for general medical patients, we also cover lots of different specialties including Endocrine, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, and Cardiac.
