Job summary
Thisis an opportunity for a manager with NHS management experience to join the teamat Canalside Primary Care Network, to help lead the development of the networkand project manage the services it provides. The role involves managing staff,budgets, DES targets and IT to support the PCN and its member practices achievethe objectives of the PCN and improve outcomes for patients.
Thepost holder will work closely with the PCN Clinical Director and Practicemanagement team.
Therole also involves leading on digital transformation projects on behalf of thePCN. The post-holder will help the PCN adopt new technology and other initiativesto improve access to care and enable PCN staff to work more effectively tosupport primary care services.
Please note that this role will be based in one of the PCN practices, but travel to other practices will be expected.
Main duties of the job
To act as a first point ofcontact for all incoming information and queries in relation to the PCN.
Oversee the management anddelivery of the PCN Network DES requirements.
Act as a central informationand administrative resource for members of the network.
Support the nominated practicewith the administration of PCN finances including the review and approval ofpayments for processing.
Processing ARRS Claims usingthe national portal and in accordance with the requirements of the PCN DES.
Review of the PCNs digitalmaturity and recommend optimisation of new technologies to enhance patientaccess and efficiency within the PCN and member practices.
System Management of EMISCommunity Clinics for all ARRS roles.
Produce activity andperformance reports for PCN Board
Co-ordinate PCN Boardmeetings, including setting dates, drawing up agendas, taking minutes andcommunicating decisions to the wider PCN.
Take notes of othermiscellaneous meetings and circulate in a timely manner to Practice Managers, members of constituentpractices and other stakeholders as required.
Work with the PCN managementteam to support workforce planning by considering future workforce needs inrelation to delivering the PCN vision, priorities, specifications and growth.
Keep abreast of the constantchanges being introduced by NHS England and other areas such as CCG to ensurethat the Network is fully informed and any changes implemented.

Canalside PCN is a network of seven GP practices working in Rochdale and Middleton serving a population of 47,000 patients. The PCN has recently increased in size and is looking for a manager to help drive development of the PCN and its services.
