Led by Principal Conductor Dinis Sousa and Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska, RNS performs classical and contemporary music across the region and beyond. Purpose of the Role and Person Specification We seek four dynamic musicians with international calibre. The Principal Viola (No.2) supports the Section Leader, ensuring efficient communication within the viola section. Responsibilities include: Collaboration with string colleagues across various repertoires Participation in chamber music, engaging diverse audiences with classical music Active involvement in the orchestral and cultural life of the region Responsibilities and Duties Participation in rehearsals and performances in diverse venues Engagement in media, digital projects, and commercial recordings Involvement in creative learning projects, including community performances Selection Process, Submission Guidance, and How to Apply The recruitment consists of three stages, including a digital submission, live audition, and trial with the orchestra: Stage One: Submit a video recording of specified excerpts. Stage Two: In-person audition with orchestral excerpts and chamber music. Stage Three: Paid trial work with the orchestra and interviews.
