Honeycomb Jobs is delighted to be working with a charity sector client, to recruit a temporary full time Fundraising Assistant based in North Belfast. The Client - Our charity sector client provides direct assistance to people with dementia. The Role - The purpose of the role is to provide valuable support to the department, delivering fundraising activities whilst providing excellent donor care. Will assist the Fundraising team. Duties will include but will not be limited to: Process donations from both online and offline sources ensuring information is recorded correctly onto the CRM database. Ensure all donations are thanked in a timely manner across all income streams. Professional and warm telephone manner. Provide a warm welcome and be the first point of contact, internally and externally, for enquiries and deal with those queries effectively and efficiently and ensuring follow up with correct individual for them. Collate, prepare, and deliver supporter information packs. Be aware of support material levels and maintain adequate supplies to deliver fundraising activities. Support volunteering activity within fundraising department. Always ensure compliance with GDPR. Follow Gift Aid processes and actively promote Gift Aid with donors. Office cash handling with regular banking. To assist with materials for fundraising events e.g., stands, posters, handouts. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: Demonstrable experience of providing successful administrative support. Previous experience of working in a busy fundraising, sales or marketing administration department. Valid Driving License with access to own transport and the willingness to travel across Northern Ireland and work flexibly including evenings and weekends as required for the role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability adapt to your audience. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload. Experience of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-motivated, solutions focused with the ability to use your initiative. Desirable: Experience of using digital tools to support fundraising. Experience of working with database or CRM. Experience supporting volunteers and a wider variety of donors. A clear understanding of dementia.
