Closing date: 09 March 2025 Recruitment Partner: Matt Haywood - matt.haywoodboots.co.uk About the role The key forcus for the Retail Loss team is reducing Loss across the organisation, we do this by identifying trends and outliers and report this back to the business providing clear visibility of loss drivers. This information is then used to identify vulnerable products, categories and stores to create awareness and action plans to limit losses in the future. We analyse the performance of loss initiatives such as new product protection, make recommendations and seek investment that will drive down loss in stores. This is an opportunity to join an exciting team at the forefront of protecting the profitability of Boots. Support limiting loss in stores, working alongside the Trading Loss team to influence ranging decisions, working with the Store Operational Support field team to influence store behaviour, and working with business units to help protect our people, our customers, our assets, our cash, our stock and our data. The ability to run, review and analyse data is very important, as well as also being competent in leading small projects. Report the Retail Loss and Waste Position on a weekly and monthly basis and establish the context of where the biggest opportunities are Obtain relevant data and conduct analysis for the Trading Loss and Security teams to help shape plans to control store losses Create and deliver Store Loss guidance and engagement to support Loss Activity Develop an understanding of end-to-end processes involved and any barriers that prevent compliance to process Work with stores and the Store Operational Support field teams to land the Extreme Loss stores and other small loss reduction projects looking for opportunities to drive future improvements Frequently review the Retail loss performance and trends to provide high level insights and best practice guidance for Stores to follow Communicate key loss messages with stores to enhance store loss engagement What you’ll need to have High level of attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise work effectively Strong excel and analytical skills are essential. Ability to explain, simplify and communicate complex information concisely Excellent relationship building skills, able to engage and influence colleagues across the business including stores Flexbile, with excellent organisational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills A good understanding of stores and operational processes.
