This is a great time to join our forward-thinking and innovative pharmacy team. We are developing our specialist pharmacist team and invite applications for bank pharmacists to support our out of hours and core pharmacy service.

Main duties of the job
You will provide the clinical pharmacy service in our dispensary and wards, ensuring the safe, clinical and cost effective use of medicines.
You will effectively communicate with the pharmacy team and healthcare professionals to provide quality care, education, clinical supervision and mentoring.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
* Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical or Technical Pharmacy or equivalent demonstrable experience
* Registered as a pharmacist with The General Pharmaceutical Council
* Working towards and will have completed Independent Prescribing qualification by commencement in post
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
* MSc in Clinical or Technical Pharmacy
Experience
* Extensive post-registration experience with substantial hospital experience
* Extensive experience providing a pharmacy clinical service to patients in a range of Emergency and Acute Care Specialties
* Experience of multidisciplinary team working
* Experience of implementing and/or reviewing policies, guidelines, PGDs or equivalent
* Experience of managing the entry of new medicines into a hospital formulary
Skills ability and knowledge
* Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and patients
* Provide expert advice on the use of medicines to treat patients within a specialist area
* Manage difficult or ambiguous situations
* Prioritise and manage workload
* Demonstrate an advanced level of reasoning and judgement
* Highly specialised knowledge of the treatment of patients in a range of Emergency and Acute Care sub-specialties
* Knowledge of how the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service must meet the needs of local and national priorities
