The role will continue to grow and adapt with the Digital team and wider organisation: People, Workforce & Team: Lead and manage a team responsible for digital projects, transformational change, systems management, and data reporting. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team and wider organisation. Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and adoption of digital solutions. Engage with senior leadership and governance colleagues to align projects and strategic priorities. To work closely with all levels of the team and the organisation to provide specialist knowledge in managing projects, build relationships with stakeholders, understanding the needs of the system we serve and liaise with likeminded people to be instrumental in the better delivery of patient care and experience. Work collaboratively with the Systems & Reporting Manager in technical clinical system projects. Forming and maintaining good working relationships with all. Communication of the highest standard with internal and external stakeholders of PCL. Organising and prioritising workload across the team. Attending both virtual Teams and in person meetings as required. Project Management: Identify emerging technologies and best practices to drive digital improvements while working alongside the Information Security Manager and wider Senior Management Team (SMT). Ensure digital systems and tools are user-friendly, accessible, and optimised for staff and patient use. Oversee end-to-end project management, ensuring timely delivery of digital initiatives. Design and implement processes through mapping exercises to streamline workflows and systems. Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication and accountability while representing the organisational values. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to ICBs, NHS Trusts and IT suppliers. Develop and implement robust reporting mechanisms to monitor project impact and compliance. Keep all project documentation up-to-date, version controlled and relevant. Evaluate projects throughout their lifecycle using data and feedback to inform future developments and lessons learned. Complete end of project reports to assess the impact and benefits analysis to drive improvements. Support change management processes, ensuring staff engagement and smooth adoption of new technologies and pathways of care. Lead transformative projects that enhance system-wide efficiencies and patient care. Organisation Initiatives & Advancements: Drive quality improvement initiatives through digital solution that enhance patient safety and experience. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for digital enhancements. Ensure digital solutions adhere to data protection, cybersecurity, and NHS governance frameworks. Work closely with the Information Security Manager on the pathway design and deployment of innovative solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency through new systems governance, clinical safety, and security standards. Work closely with governance and security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Working across all departments within PCL to support with writing tenders, responding to bids, and creating new service specifications to help procure new business opportunities and ensure digital transformation across any new services. Strategy: Support the development and implementation of the Digital strategy including aligning the business to our forward-thinking objectives to make advancements within the digital field. Be a Digital champion for Information Governance and Cybersecurity across the organisation. This includes advocating for best practices in data protection, confidentiality, and cyber resilience. You will be vital in encouraging compliance with legislation, raising awareness, supporting incident responses, and bridging the gap between technical security measures and everyday practice ensuring that staff understand their role in protecting data. Development: Deputising for the Head of Governance for Information and Technology as required. Deputising for the Information Security Manager as required. Attend relevant conferences, webinars and training to horizon scan and better understand the digital health care industry, ensuring that key learnings are shared with the wider team. Attending PCL Stakeholder events to broaden your network and build relationships. A commitment to personal development and continued professional development in relevant areas to the role. Attending our bi-annual PCL staff development and engagement sessions. Keep up to date with all new and mandatory training associated with the role.
