About the job
As a Regional Business Analyst, you will assist the Regional Service Improvement Manager with developing and implementing projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan region. The role will involve working closely with the Cardiff and the Vale and Swansea Bay Health Boards to build strong partnership arrangements across the region.
You will work closely with a team of professionals, stakeholders, and community partners to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of our programmes. Key responsibilities include:
1. Undertake the analysis of business information, particularly the business administration element of a project, ensuring project objectives are met.
2. Produce a range of regular performance monitoring data and reports.
3. Assist with the development and delivery of projects that help to fulfil the Council's strategic accommodation and support objectives.
4. Analyse current processes and contribute recommendations for the design of future working practices, identifying critical success factors and performance measures.
5. Carry out specified tasks to capture and document business and service user requirements and identify interdependencies.
6. Establish current 'As Is' process maps by interviewing, facilitating workshops, and observing tasks to gather background data.
7. Develop future 'To Be' process maps by analysing the existing 'As Is' position, identifying the value processes to remove waste and improve services.
8. Undertake impact analysis of business change proposals (people, process and organisational change).
What we are looking for from you
The successful candidate will need strong organisational and analytical skills. You will have previous experience of project or performance management activity, including an awareness of a range of tools to monitor successful outcomes. The successful applicant will be a motivated individual who has experience of working with new technology and has excellent digital skills. You will need to work well within a team but also be comfortable to work on your own initiative. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The post is temporary until 27 March 2026.
