Ganymede Solutions are working with the largest UK Train Operating Company (currently posting revenues of over £8.9 Billion the last seven years), who are seeking to recruit a Train Cleaner to join the Train Presentation team based in their Littlehampton depot.
The company covers the Southeast, Greater London & East Anglia areas, including Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, London & Hertfordshire. With a large fleet of 516 trains, you will be active & busy in your role!
Ganymede are looking to hire someone with a 'go-getter' attitude who isn't afraid to get stuck in and can lead a team by example.
The Role:
The role consists of all aspects of train cleaning duties, including exterior cleaning, interior cleaning, hoovering floors, and inspecting/maintaining toilets.
It is a 35-hour week role across a Sunday - Saturday roster, working hours of 21:30pm - 04:30am.
You will be looking after the Southern train fleet serving the Surrey & Sussex areas. Your role is mainly focused on interior cleaning, but you will also perform some basic exterior work. There is one cleaner per 3 or 4 carriages, meaning you will be working in a team of 4 at most times.
Remuneration & Benefits:
This rail company offers the following for contract staff:
1. £14.52p/h rate, rising to £14.92 after your first 12 weeks
2. Overtime is available at the Manager's discretion
3. Progression routes to permanent positions after an initial 6-month contract, with opportunities in train presentation, engineering, customer service, and more

Requirements:
1. Ability to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
2. Provide Right to Work documents before deployment
3. Happy to help mentality/attitude
4. Decent fitness level is needed as the role involves significant walking
5. Flexibility to work weekends
