About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Finance professional, with strong risks and systems control experience to work in a fast-paced, commercial environment. The Senior Financial Systems Control Accountant will be involved with facilitating External IT audit and rolling out and testing IT General Controls.
As the Senior Financial Systems Controls Accountant, you will take ownership of designing and developing the Group’s Financial Controls methodology for specific processes, implementing and monitoring financial systems controls, documenting risks and systems controls, training a wide range of stakeholders, and liaising with the Group’s Internal and External Auditors.
Responsibilities
1. Take personal ownership for the design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the Group’s Financial Controls methodology including adherence with the firm’s relevant accounting policies and procedures.
2. Support the design and delivery of the financial systems controls plan.
3. Anticipate change and provide input into the vision for future development of the Group’s financial control environment.
4. Act as a subject matter expert in the application of the Group’s Financial Control methodology.
5. Collaborate with the wider Financial Controls team to ensure systems controls are linked to address the end-to-end process.
6. Input into the financial controls vision and roadmap for the Group.
7. Responsible for the testing of key systems controls and ensuring appropriate recommendations for improvements are implemented.
8. Deliver effective tailored training and guidance to Finance and non-finance teams.
9. Take personal ownership for either the Finance Risk Register or related validation of the Financial Controls.
10. Support drafting papers to committees on Financial Control matters.
11. Input into the creation of control metrics to monitor the control environment.
12. Responsible for preparation of KPI’s tested input into the monthly Financial Controls KPI pack.
13. Identify, assess, and champion improvements to financial systems controls.
14. Maintain close working relationships with the Group’s Auditors and external financial control advisors.
15. Identify areas of emerging financial control risk through proactive collaboration.
16. Ensure all subsidiaries and controlled joint ventures adhere to the Group’s Financial Control methodology.
17. Participate in projects supporting Ocado’s rapidly growing business.
18. Act as a deputy to the Head of Financial Controls.
About You
* At least 3 years PQE experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Segregation of Duties (SoD) knowledge.
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role at Senior Financial Accountant level.
* Experience of designing assurance methodology, including implementing and monitoring financial systems controls.
* Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs).
* A good understanding of general IT knowledge.
* Assurance Qualification (CIA/ CMIIA or equivalent).
* Experience of COSO methodology.
* Experience of Oracle Risk Management Cloud.
* Experience of business process management / GRC software.
* Experience of auditing cloud-based Finance systems.
* Experience of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion preferable).
* Up to date technical knowledge of IFRS.
* Experience and/or Exposure in Tax.
