Would you like to be part of an innovative and forward-thinking team? Forensic Services are looking to recruit a Crime Scene Investigation Support Officer on a full-time permanent basis. The Crime Scene Investigation Support Officer is an office based administrative role, based in Nottinghamshire, supporting our operational CSI staff at both a local and regional level.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Providing a Crime Scene Investigation Office Administrator capability across the East Midlands Region ensuring a comprehensive, efficient and effective service is delivered for local and regional CSI teams contributing to the investigative and criminal justice processes.
2. Forming part of the regional Crime Scene Investigation team and contribute effectively to the development and direction of EMSOU-FS undertaking work and projects as required.
3. Acting as a point of contact for EMSOU-FS and CSI for ad hoc queries, responding or referring on as appropriate in a timely manner.
The Must Haves
1. Educated to GCSE English and GCSE Maths at grade C or above, or be able to demonstrate two years’ experience at an equivalent level.
2. Full valid UK driving licence, access to own transport for work purposes if required and the ability to comply with force requirements to drive fleet vehicles.
3. To be physically fit and able to move and unpack stores supplies and equipment in compliance with safe manual handling.

Salary: - £23,748 – £28,653
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
Security Requirements
This post requires regular access to sensitive material and applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo enhanced security clearance before taking up the post. The material may be of sensitivity to the UK and may therefore be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may be granted access.
However, if potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be permitted access to the systems or material required for the role and will not therefore be able to perform their duties. For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or achieve the required levels of security clearance requirements cannot be offered the post.
