Your role and responsibilities The Lead Wards Nurse will be responsible for assisting with the efficient and effective leadership of the Ward team. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Team Leaders and Head of Nursing Services across the practice to ensure the efficient delivery of outstanding patient care within the Wards. We would like this nurse to work enthusiastically within the team to help maintain a positive, happy and efficient working environment, whilst ensuring practice and group policies are always adhered to. This role includes ensuring the provision of high standards of patient and client care, providing performance reviews, training team members, and coordination for all relevant personnel working within the team. You will be welcomed into a skilled and encouraging wards team caring for patients across 4 wards including our ICU. Day to day work will remain primarily clinical, managing the running of the day while assisting with patient care. As a focused role, we recognise and appreciate your area of special interest & expertise and so your work will be scheduled and prioritised within the wards department; though may be required to help in another area within the capabilities of an RVN on occasion. Your leadership responsibilities will include providing line management and training to team members, conducting performance reviews, SOP development and coordination for all relevant personnel working within your team.
