Northstar Travel Group (NTG) is a leading B2B information and marketing solutions company serving all segments of the travel & meetings industry including leisure/retail, corporate/business travel, business and sports meetings, incentives, and travel technology.
The company’s portfolio includes media brands, digital media, face-to-face exhibitions conferences and forums, online subscription information services, business intelligence, SaaS e-commerce software, and content marketing solutions.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
This is an important position within the Northstar Travel Group, the leading B2B publisher and event organiser in the events, meetings, business travel and sports industry. This role provides a great opportunity for candidates who want to build their own event management career, while gaining exposure and insight into the workings of a global B2B media, exhibitions, and events business.
The ideal candidate will have fantastic organisational skills, enthusiasm and proactivity, with a creative approach to problem-solving. This person will learn from a skilled team with extensive experience and be part of our fast-paced and continued growth. This person will be part of the Northstar UK team supporting the overall delivery of all Northstar UK events. Day to day their primary purpose is to work with the Head of Awards and Conferences Operations to run the 1- and 2-day conferences, experience events and awards functions as well as getting involved with the physical delivery of all events across the business.

* Awards: Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Awards, Business Travel Awards Europe, Business Travel Sustainability Awards
* 1 & 2-Day Events: TEAMS Europe, M&IT Experience, M&IT and AMI Editor’s Lunches, BTN Group 1-Day Summits
* Exhibitions: Business Travel Show Europe, The Meetings Show and Travel Technology Show
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CONFERENCES, EXPERIENCE & AWARDS:
* Category, judging, voting and analysis administration for awards entries
* Guest liaison, table planning, supplier management, onsite delivery & production
* Sponsor liaison
* Pre event & on-site buyer and supplier management, delegate appointment scheduling, team & activity programming, speaker services, sponsor deliverables and onboarding, and general enquiries
* Assist with the preparation of design briefs for event materials and branding
* Update and maintain accurate records across all event platforms
* Assist with sourcing venues (including site visits), trophies, entertainment, MCs and hosts, theming, photographers and videographers across all events
* Attendance at all UK events and ad hoc European events
EVENT TEAM SUPPORT
* Provide administrative support to the events and sales teams in the lead-up to all events
* Assist with incoming queries across all group event inboxes
* Ensure records of all table/ticket bookings, sponsors and attendee lists are up to date
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
* Offer administrative and onsite support to other events including The Business Travel Show Europe, The Meetings Show, TEAMS Europe and TravelTech Show

* Fluent English communication, both verbal and written
* Exceptional telephone skills and strong communication skills (oral and written)

* Computer experience with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to quickly grasp the workings of CRM, accounting, and business delivery software applications
RELATED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
* Aptitude and interest in events are a must
* Prior experience with events and administrative functions for at least 1 year
* Prior experience using Evessio, Swapcard, Credspark and Cvent is preferrable, but full training will be provided
