EC&I Engineer - AutoCAD Permanent Full-Time\n\nSalary - Circa £45,000 DOE \n\nLocation - In office, Tyne and Wear\n\nWe are supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing company, known for its cutting-edge subsea and marine solutions. The company supports industries such as offshore, renewable energy, and deep-sea exploration, and is committed to innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence.\n\nAs part of its continued growth, the company is expanding its engineering team and is seeking both junior and senior EC&I Engineers. This role involves the design, development, and support of offshore and subsea electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.\n\nResponsibilities, but are not limited to\n\nDesigning power distribution, control panels, motor control centres, and interactive operator stations (HMI, touchscreen, tactile controls)\nDeveloping distributed control systems (PLC, SCADA), network communication (RS485, MODBUS, Ethernet), and safety systems (BS EN 60204, BS EN 13849, IEC 60079)\nSelecting and integrating power components (motors, drives, transformers, switchgear), cabling, earthing, and earth fault detection\nCreating and maintaining AutoCAD/Inventor drawings, schematics, Bills of Materials, and engineering documentation\nConducting machine risk assessments, FMEA/FMECA analysis, and ensuring compliance with British and international standards\nSupporting manufacturing, commissioning, factory/offshore testing, and troubleshooting of existing systems\nLiaising with multidisciplinary teams and providing technical support to sales and service teams\nInvolvement in research, development, and offshore work as requiredExperiences required\n\nBEng (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (minimum 2nd class)\nExperience in machine control systems, automation, or industry sectors such as subsea, energy distribution, rail, or automation control (desirable)\nProficiency in AutoCAD/Eplan or similar software (e.g., Microstation, OmniCAD, ProfiCAD) for LV schematic/circuit design\nExperience with Autodesk Inventor (advantageous)\nPractical engineering experience or hands-on background (desirable)Package\n\n37.5 Hours P/W | Monday to Thursday | 7am to 4:30pm | Friday 7am to 11:30am | 30 Minute Lunch | 33 Days Holiday Inc.
