Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of learning across a range of subjects. You will be responsible for supervising and managing classes during the absence of teaching staff, providing support and guidance to students to maintain an effective and positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students are on task and engaged in their learning activities. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere. Provide feedback to students and support their academic progress. Liaise with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure smooth transitions and provide reports on class activities. Assist with administrative tasks related to lesson delivery and student progress. Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students. Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar educational support role, ideally within a secondary school setting. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage students and maintain discipline. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A passion for education and supporting students in their learning journey. Relevant qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. A valid enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one. Why Join Us?
