Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a driven ‘Exotic Veterinary Surgeon’ to join our client's busy and progressive practice in Sheffield. Ideally, this would suit an experienced exotic certificate holder or advanced practitioner as they have a large exotic caseload, including first opinion and referral work.
Duties:
* There is a varied caseload of both exotic and small animal medical and surgical cases, and duties are split between consulting, operating workups, and inpatient care.
* Their client base is primarily made up of reptiles, avian, and small mammals, in addition to cats and dogs.
* They also provide occasional care for local wildlife parks.
* They run 30-minute initial exotic consults and 15-minute follow-ups as standard, to enable them to provide an excellent service to clients and provide an exceptional standard of care to patients.
* They have an interesting caseload, ranging from routine surgery, orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, laser surgery and endoscopy.
Hours: Full-time, 4-day week, 40 hours across 10-hour days (Monday-Friday), 1:7 Saturdays, covering the hours of 8:30 am-3:00 pm only, no out-of-hours.
Candidate: You would be working alongside an amazing team of people including 10 Vets, 10 RVNs, 1 SVN and 8 receptionists. They are lucky to have a very supportive management team who fully encourage CPD, postgraduate studies, and the ability to pursue specific areas of interest. As part of this role, you would be expected to integrate well within the current team. Ability to be confident working independently as sole charge where required and work successfully as part of a wider team.
Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000 p/a (DOE)
