Job Profile
To work with structured data to solve tangible business problems using tools like SQL, R, or Python programming languages. Identify patterns and trends to highlight problems or leverage opportunities for HPBU, its stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Provide concise, clear, and actionable insights to the business using visualisations with Python, Tableau, PowerBI, and Excel, and present data insights to the business.
Accountabilities
1. Work in a highly collaborative setting with business units and other data analysts and perform tasks assigned to them by the Senior Strategic Data Scientist.
2. Clean and process large data sets in Boehringer's global data platforms, and create dashboards on these platforms.
3. Understand business requirements and create visualisations and presentations which meet business needs.
4. Learn advanced data analytic methods, statistics, and programming in Python or R.
5. Create customer engagement data dictionary that meets the needs of the business.
Required Capabilities
* Good communication skills.
* Able to query Relational Databases using SQL language.
* Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
* Good understanding of statistics (A level or beyond).
* Experience in programming in Python or R.
* Quick learner.
Preferred Although Not Essential
* Experience with Linux/POSIX operating systems, scripting in bash.
* Experience with Streamlit dashboard library.
* Experience in working with big data platforms (tools such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Apache Hive, Spark, Arrow, etc.) and cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
* Experience in working with container environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift).
* Experience with Tableau or PowerBI.
