Service Care Solutions are pleased to present an exciting opportunity working in partnership with our established client to recruit a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Nurse to support Children and Younger People with Neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD, ASD and associated communication difficulties. The successful candidate will undertake ADHD Assessments and Diagnosis, as well as provide Treatment to Children and Younger People.
Our client provides a gold-standard service to Children, Younger People and their Families throughout the UK. They are clinically-led and follow NICE guidelines with their tailored approach to ADHD and ASD treatment.
Job Purpose: Specialist Neurodevelopmental Nurse
Salary: £45,000-£53,000 per annum plus £250 Welcome Bonus, paid via Service Care Solutions
Location: Warwickshire, United Kingdom
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Flexible Hours
Contract: 30-37.5 Hours | Full-time / Part-time available
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments of children and young people for ADHD, considering differential diagnoses and/or co-occurring conditions to inform diagnostic decisions.
* Undertake clinical preparation for consultations.
* Gather comprehensive patient histories.
* Perform thorough examinations, including assessment of growth parameters and cardiac function.
* Factor in considerations such as severe anxiety, the child's age, and developmental stage when planning treatment.
* Recognise and respect the autonomy of teenagers and young adults in clinical interactions.
* Apply clinical judgement and experience to recommend and implement appropriate treatments.
* Develop and implement treatment and medication plans in line with NICE guidelines, national/local formularies, and Healthcare4Kids' expertise.
* Communicate effectively and empathetically with the child and their family, ensuring clear understanding.
* Ensure the child and family's interests are central to treatment planning, promoting ethical, collaborative, and shared decision-making.
* Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely client records.
* Produce high-quality, informative, and professional medical reports within expected timeframes.
* Provide ongoing communication with key stakeholders, including families, schools, and healthcare professionals.
* Conduct risk assessments and regularly review safeguarding needs alongside treatment strategies.
* Carry out regular medication reviews for children and young people.
Requirements
* Qualified Nurse with NMC Registration
* Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (V300)
* Experience Assessing and Diagnosing ADHD
